The 12 South neighborhood is loved equally by locals and tourists. This walkable mile-long stretch features some of the best boutiques Nashville has to offer. Along with local staples, there are smaller-scale national shops that still maintain the quaint allure of the area. Whether you’re shopping for clothing, accessories, home decor, or gifts, there’s a place for you. Here is Nashville Guru’s guide for shopping in 12 South.
12 South Shopping GUIDE
The beginning of 12 South starts with a few small-scale chains including LoveShackFancy (women’s clothing) and Gorjana (jewelry). LoveShakeFancy is a popular stop for photos (especially for bachelorettes or groups dressed in pink, and it’s easy to see why).
Did you bring the men with you? It may be best to drop them at 12 South Taproom, Bottle Cap, or Embers before you carry on your afternoon of shopping.
As you continue down the street, there are a variety of popular local shops including Savant (vintage finds), Emerson Grace (women’s clothing), Hero (women’s clothing), Judith Bright (local jewelry designer), and Vinnie Louise (affordable women’s clothing). Emerson Grace and Hero are both upscale boutiques that sell women’s clothing, shoes, and accessories—perfect for any fashion lover. If you’re in the market for something more casual, FWD Clothing sells Nashville t-shirts, sweatshirts, and hats.
Shopping can take up a lot of energy, so why not fuel up with coffee at Frothy Monkey? This popular local coffee shop is located near Imogene + Willie (men’s and women’s denim), MODA (women’s clothing), and Finnleys (women’s clothing). Imogene + Willie has been a staple on 12 South for over a decade. They are famous for their custom denim pieces that are designed in Nashville and made in the USA.
Towards the middle of 12 South past bartaco, well-known shops including Summer Classics (home decor and furniture), Draper James (women’s clothing), Marine Layer (men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing), Stoney Clover (customizable accessories), Buck Mason (men’s and women’s clothing), Vuori (men’s and women’s clothing), and Madewell (men’s and women’s clothing) are the go-to destinations. If you’re a Reese Witherspoon fan, be sure to check out her store, Draper James. Customers can expect classic American garments and products with a Southern charm twist. This is also the most popular place for pictures, including Draper James’ blue-and-white wall and the “I Believe in Nashville” mural. See 12 South’s murals.
Just before the commercial end of 12 South, you’ll find Made in TN (Tennessee-made goods and gifts), Serendipity (women’s clothing), UAL (70%-90% off retail), Crue (athleisure wear), Planet Cowboy (boot shop), and KREWE (sunglasses). In need of a gift? White’s Mercantile is your one-stop shop. From trendy clothing and jewelry to kid’s items and home decor, they have you covered.
After all of that shopping, it’s probably time for bites and cocktails. We recommend Burger Up or Epice for delicious food and refreshing drinks, then satiate your sweet tooth with fro-yo from Fryce Cream.

Relax poolside at Pinewood Social, one of Nashville’s most popular food and drink destinations. Their outdoor dipping pools and poolside service can be enjoyed on select days, weather permitting. The pools will be open daily but poolside and patio service will only be available Thursday through Sunday from 9:00am to 11:00pm with limited food and drink menus. Be sure to call ahead to make sure they are open and offering service outside. The pools are first-come, first-served, so get there early to secure your spot. Towels are available for rent and sunscreen is available for purchase. The pool area is restricted to guests 21 or over.
