About Teddy’s Tavern

Teddy’s Tavern

From the business:

Ask any local and they’ll tell you to avoid Broadway. No one knows when it started happening, they just know it’s beyond their control now. What used to be a small local hangout spot for those who have called Nashville home all their lives has turned into a playground of chaos for tourists from all over the country.

It’s become clear to those who have lived here long enough that the typical downtown scene is no longer for true Nashvillians, apart from the brave sports fans and concert-goers. Some might call the locals “unicorns” with how hard it is to find one these days. We’d like to refer to them as regulars at Teddy’s Tavern.

Founded by locals who were born and raised here, Teddy’s aims to bring a touch of the old to the new Nashville. Located in one of downtown’s oldest buildings, Teddy’s is conveniently placed across the street from Bridgestone arena. Close enough that those sports fans can grab a drink before a game, but just outside the reach of Broadway’s raging storm.

Locals don’t come to the heart of the city they’ve grown up in anymore, but we hope that can change again someday. Let Teddy’s Tavern welcome you back to downtown with open arms. And maybe you’ll want to stay for a drink or two.
