Country music star Eric Church has teamed up with Ben Weprin of AJ Capital Partners to bring Chief’s to Lower Broadway. It’s taking over the space previously occupied by Cotton Eyed Joe. James Beard Award-winner Rodney Scott will be at the helm of the restaurant, which will have an emphasis on whole-hog barbecue. Church’s concept will join numerous other celebrity-driven establishments on Broadway, including Casa Rosa (Miranda Lambert), Redneck Riviera (John Rich), and Ole Red (Blake Shelton), just to a name a few. The six-story bar, restaurant, and music venue is slated to open in 2023.
