As of January 1, 2026, The 404 Kitchen and its downstairs bar, Gertie’s Whiskey Bar, are permanently closed in Nashville’s Gulch neighborhood. The long-time local dinner destination from Chef Matt Bolus has been in the neighborhood for over a dozen years. Their last post on Instagram was on January 1, 2026, mentioning just a New Year’s break, but the closing announcement was made on OpenTable.
