About Maggie’s Place
Maggie’s Place
Maggieâs Place, a neighborhood bar and restaurant, officially opened in The Nations neighborhood on Tuesday, December 4, 2025. Maggie’s Place took over the space previously occupied by Field House Tavern. This new spot is open daily for lunch, dinner, and late-night food, with an emphasis on handheld options like tacos, mesquite wings, and signature quesadilla pockets. Guests can also expect a full-service bar, indoor seating, and an outdoor area with fire pits, games, and large TVs to watch all the games. All ages are welcome until 7:00pm, then it is 21 and over only.
Maggie’s Place is a locally-owned concept from Ian Byars of Sonny’s Patio Pub & Refuge, Steve Perdue and Jacob Forth of Perfectly Fine, chef and investor Edward Lipnickas, and Rob Buck of Savager, LLC.
âThis property is a neighborhood gem, and we are planning to use the entire indoor and outdoor space as an amenity for those who live, work, and play here,â said Byars. âThe term âneighborhood barâ gets tossed around often, but our goal is to give our neighbors what theyâd like to see in The Nations â great food, great drinks, and an easygoing atmosphere. Bring your dogs, watch the game on TV, or play some games in the yard. Weâll be family friendly every day before 7, and transition to an adults-only atmosphere later.â
