Bar Cala Cala is an Italian restaurant and hi-fi listening bar in East Nashville from Ryan Costanza (Present Tense) and Joshua Walker (Xiao Bao). The menu leans on Sicilian and Italian island cooking, with crudo, handmade pasta, and shareable plates like arancini, Spaghetti Vongole, Swordfish Milanese, and fries cooked in beef tallow. Drinks focus on natural wine, spritzes, and Negronis, plus a few zero-proof options.

Music is a big part of the experience. Four vintage Klipschorn speakers fill the room with everything from Italian disco to city pop and house, and the vibe shifts from dinner to late-night listening bar as the evening goes on. Inside you’ll find a Zellige-tiled bar, cozy banquettes, and a disco ball overhead, and there’s a giant clamshell out front that’s made for photos. The space is also available for private events and buyouts.
