8th & Roast is a Nashville-based coffee company founded by childhood friends Ed and Q, who began meeting at the original café on 8th Avenue South while planning their dream restaurant. Their love for coffee led them to partner with the shop’s owners and reimagine it as a community hub focused on quality, connection, and sustainability. They source beans through direct trade relationships with farmers around the world, supporting fair practices and minimizing middlemen. Today, 8th & Roast operates three Nashville locations—including one at the airport—and supplies wholesale coffee to their restaurant and others.
