Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) is all the rage right now, especially in areas like Middle Tennessee with numerous waterways. One of Nashville’s most notable SUP companies, Nashville Paddle Company, just made it a lot easier to experience paddleboarding with the addition of their new boathouse on Percy Priest Lake. From rentals to classes, the boathouse offers many ways to get paddling. Nashville Guru got to experience it firsthand.
Nashville Paddle Company’s boathouse is located inside the Hamilton Creek Recreation Area. It’s conveniently situated in a quiet cove so you can paddle in peace. Boats are allowed in the cove, but typically respect the paddlers.
The boathouse holds regular hours every day (see exact hours below) so you can stop by to purchase gear, rent a paddleboard or kayak, or take a class. Reservations are recommended for rentals and classes, especially on the weekends.
There are several fun classes offered such as Intro to SUP, SUP Yoga, and Fitness Onboard. You can also participate in group activities like the Full Moon Paddle or Race League.
