The 8th annual Italian Lights Festival is August 18-21, 2017, at Bicentennial Mall State Park. Unique to 2017’s festival will be the viewing of the solar eclipse, which is being referred to as the Great American Eclipse. The Italian Lights Solar weekend is a NASA certified event and solar viewing glasses will be provided by the Tennessee State Parks and Nashville Convention and Visitors Bureau. There will be solar activities hosted by NASA researcher Veronica Zabala and Janet Ivey of the Janet’s Planets show on PBS. Monday, August 21st will be the big viewing opportunity.

Of course, it will also continue to be a celebration of the Italian culture and cuisine over four full days. This is a family-friendly event that includes activities like a meatball eating contest, a bocce ball tournament, a grape stomping competition, kids activities, and wine tastings. The event is free and open to the public.

VIP tickets are available for $79 for a 1 Day VIP Ticket or $125 for all 4 Days VIP Ticket. Get more details.
