V Modern Italian, a Fast Fine Restaurant Group concept, will officially open on Friday, May 2, 2025, in the Gulch neighborhood. V Modern Italian will mark the first United States location for the European restaurant group with other outposts in Sweden, Spain, Turkey, Belgium, and Saudi Arabia. This new Italian restaurant has taken over the space previously occupied by Hi-Wire Brewing. Guests can expect a redefined dining experience that fuses culinary innovation, authentic Italian cuisine, cultural heritage, and modern design. Nashville Guru stopped by to get a look inside.
The Interior
The spacious interior at V Modern Italian features a center cocktail bar area, a variety of seating options including high tops and luxurious booths, warm lighting, vibrant greenery, and urban art. The walls, painted by internationally renowned street art duo PichiAvo, display four exclusive murals, depicting Roman deities: Victoria (the goddess of triumph), Athena (the goddess of the art), Bacchus (the god of wine and liberation), and Mercury (the messenger and god of commerce). Athena ties to Nashville’s nickname, “The Athens of the South.”
The Exterior
V Modern Italian is situated in a 7,000-square-foot space within the mixed-use building Modera Gulch. There are two covered outdoor patios where guests can dine when weather permits. Some of the neighboring businesses include Pvolve Nashville, [solidcore], and Pure Sweat Sauna Studio. Complimentary 2-hour parking is available.
The Menu
The Roman numeral V represents a declaration of purpose to engage all five senses. Michelin-starred chef Stefano Ciotti has guided V Modern Italian’s team to create a fresh approach to classic Italian dishes. The menu features visually stunning food made with seasonal ingredients. Diners can expect unique takes on pasta, innovative sourdough pizzas, chef-inspired entrees, and decadent desserts.
