A Look Inside: Fishmonger

Fishmonger, an Atlanta-based seafood restaurant, officially opened on Friday, March 14, 2025, in the Neuhoff District of Germantown. Nashville marks the fourth location for this Michelin-recommended, fast-casual eatery. Guests can expect fresh seafood, Southern dishes, and rotating menu specials. There will be a second Nashville Fishmonger coming soon to Wedgewood-Houston’s The Finery development. Fishmonger is currently open Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00am to 9:00pm. Nashville Guru stopped by to get a look inside.

The Interior

The interior at Fishmonger features an expansive bar with eight stools and a select amount of tables and chairs. The space is dimly lit and decorated with vibrant neon lights, candles, greenery, colorful artwork, and fun nautical decor.

The Exterior

Fishmonger is situated in Germantown’s Neuhoff District, a mixed-use space totaling more than 914,000 square feet along the Cumberland River. The 1,200-square-foot eatery includes an enclosed, uncovered side patio filled with natural light and greenery. Fishmonger is the first restaurant to open in the Neuhoff District with more food and drink options opening soon, including Babychan from the team behind Kisser. Payable lots and street parking are available nearby.

The Menu

The menu features flavorful dishes, fresh seafood, and rotating specials. Some menu highlights include the Lobster Roll (Connecticut-style, served warm on a spilt-top bun with drawn butter, cole slaw, and pickles), Peel & Eat Shrimp (white wine, shrimp stock, butter, new bae seasoning, served with cole slaw and sopping toast), Hot Fish Sandwich (Mississippi catfish, chili oil, celery seed, buttermilk dressing, butter-toasted Martin’s seeded bun), and their most popular item, the Blackened Grouper Sandwich (Florida sauce, pickled peppers, herb salad, tomato, butter-toasted Martin’s seeded bun). Between the three Atlanta locations, Fishmonger sold 30,000 Blackened Grouper Sandwiches just last year.
