Curry Boys BBQ officially opens on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 11:00am, in East Nashville‘s Riverside Village. This new eatery has taken over the space previously occupied by lou. Nashville marks the third location for Curry Boys BBQ, with their two other outposts situated in San Antonio, Texas. Guests can expect a fast-casual restaurant that blends flavors of Thai curry with authentic Texas barbecue for a unique culinary experience. The menu features delicious rice bowls, sides, and shareable dishes, as well as beer, wine, and cocktails. Nashville Guru stopped by to get a look inside.
The Interior
The interior of Curry Boys BBQ, designed by Studio RH, is colorful, vibrant, and filled with fun details tucked into almost every corner. The space features a counter service area, a selection of tables and chairs, and merchandise including t-shirts, hats, and more. Throughout the restaurant you’ll find a collection of thrifted finds, foliage, and a variety of hand-painted items including signage and customized Spaghetti Western movie posters.
The Exterior
Curry Boys BBQ is set in a 1,446-square foot historic home. The shades of pink, red, and gold pay homage to Thailand’s traditional color palette. When weather permits, guest can dine on the expansive back patio that features paper lanterns and a minimalist vibe. The patio is covered and partially enclosed.
The Menu
The menu is split into three sections starting with shareables, then Curry BBQ Bowls, and followed by side dishes. A full bar of beer, wine, and cocktails is available through lunch and dinner service. Pictured here are the Brisket Smoke Show (oak-smoked prime brisket with green curry) and Good Luck Cluck (peppery smoked chicken thigh with yellow curry) bowls along with the Fresh Herb & Cucumber Slaw (aromatic and herbaceous salad with a citrusy, Vietnamese-inspired dressing), Smoked Edamame (tossed in a sweet Thai sauce with a kick), and a Yuzu Whiskey Cooler (bourbon, Yuzu, lemon, green tea, seltzer).
