A Look Inside: Common Ground (Berry Hill)

Common Ground opened its second location in Berry Hill on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. The first location for the business is situated on Charlotte Avenue in Sylvan Park. This neighborhood bar and restaurant took over the space previously occupied by The Yellow Porch. There will be lunch and dinner service Tuesday through Sunday and brunch service on the weekends. With GEODIS Park located within 1.5 miles, this spot is great for pre- and post-game food and drinks. Nashville Guru stopped by to get a look inside.

The Interior

The interior of Common Ground is roughly 3,000 square feet and provides a variety of seating options for diners. There are 42 seats in the dining room, 10 seats at the bar, and 12 seats in the surrounding bar area. The bar is the main focal point of the space, which is brightly lit and decorated with popular spirits.

The Exterior

When weather permits, guests can enjoy their meals and drinks on the 32-seat outdoor patio. There is a parking lot next to the establishment with free reserved spots for Common Ground.

The Menu

Both Common Ground locations serve the same menu with approachable yet elevated cuisine. The menu was designed so guests have the opportunity to dine at the restaurant multiple times throughout the week without feeling repetitive. Some popular menu offerings include the Smashburger (Black Hawk Wagyu patties, local bun, American cheese, melted onions, house pickle, CG sauce), the Spicy Chicken Salad (grilled breast, Valentina Butter Sauce, spinach, tomato, bacon, bleu cheese crumble, herb dressing) and the Focaccia Plate (house sourdough, sorghum butter, whipped boursin, tomato bacon jam). There is a happy hour served Tuesday through Saturday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm and on Sunday from 4:00pm to 10:00pm.
