A Look Inside: Ophelia’s Pizza + Bar

Ophelia’s Pizza + Bar, the latest concept from 5th Street Group (the team behind Church and Union), officially opened in Downtown Nashville on Friday, June 9, 2023. This old-school, American-Italian restaurant and bar offers an intimate dining experience, an open-air patio, and a late-night “After Dinner Party” every Friday and Saturday. Nashville Guru stopped by to learn more and get a look inside.

The Interior

Ophelia’s interior spans over 3,000 square feet with seating for up to 60 guests inside plus 10 people at the bar. The walls are adorned with over 600 hand selected photos and art pieces and a massive map of Rome near the bar area. Comfortable leather banquettes are featured throughout the space, creating warmth and sophistication.

The Exterior

Ophelia’s open-air, 50-person patio is a rare find in the Downtown neighborhood. Lush greenery creates a natural privacy wall, while classic white umbrellas provide shade and ambience.

The Menu

The American-Italian cuisine, created by two time Top Chef Alumni Jamie Lynch and Executive Chef, Adam Hodgson, focuses on homemade Neapolitan-style pizzas, antipastas, entrées, and decadent desserts. Standout menu items include Whipped Ricotta, Lasagne Bolognese, and the Truffle Pizza. The beverage program offers specialty cocktails like the Orange Sherbet, Peroni on draft, and a robust old world wine list.

 Following dinner service every Friday and Saturday night, The After Dinner Party kicks off at 10:30pm and lasts until 3:00am with $19 Margherita Pizzas and cocktail service on the patio as well as DJs each night. This true downtown experience also includes an optional VIP cocktail service with a “happy ending”—two late-night to-go pizzas! Guests can secure a VIP reservation online.
