Tennessee has some incredible lakes and rivers, and there’s a way to enjoy them more often without the hassle: Nautical Boat Club. If you’ve ever experienced boat ownership firsthand, you know how strenuous it can be. The Nautical Boat Club (formerly known as Nashville Boat Club) is making it stress-free with their first and only Boating Country Club® experience. Instead of owning or renting a boat, members get access to a fleet of sleek boats (including wakeboard boats, sport boats, tri-toons, and double-decker party boats) on numerous lakes and rivers including, but not limited to, Percy Priest, Old Hickory, Center Hill, Tims Ford, and the Cumberland River. Everything is provided, including skis, wakeboards, tubes, SUP boards, kayaks, Aqua Lily Pads, life jackets, and even ice for your coolers. Scroll down to learn more about this exclusive experience. For specific questions, you can call the Nashville headquarters at (615) 232-9100 or check out their website

How It Works

Become a Member

Everything is included with a membership except fuel after each outing. This includes the boat, water toys, life jackets, insurance, maintenance, and slip fees. You can bring as many guests as the boat can hold at no additional charge (some tri-toons hold up to 14 guests!). The membership is a one-time fee plus monthly dues. Pricing varies based on your membership level and location. See this price comparison chart of owning a boat versus becoming a member.

Schedule Your Boat Orientation

Once you’ve been accepted as a member, schedule your boat orientation. Their staff will go over the basics, take you around the lake, and answer any questions. The orientation takes approximately 1-2 hours.

Make a Reservation

You’ll get access to the online portal to reserve a boat up to 30 days in advance. Boats are available 6 days a week except Mondays. Members can have two unused reservations scheduled at a time. Reservations are done in half days–early and late. Members can reserve a full weekday or overnight (for camping or a vacation rental, for example) by using both of their reservations. Only one reservation can be used on weekends and busy holidays. Other restrictions apply and may vary based on location and membership level.

Enjoy the Water

Now it’s time to enjoy the water while floating, cruising, tubing, wakeboarding, and partying! Simply show up to the Nautical Boat Club dock and the dockhands will help you get situated and on your way. If you need a lift from the parking lot, they have golf carts to take you down. They’ll have the water toys onboard and anything you requested during your reservation. If you need something, just ask!

Fuel Up and Return the Boat

Once you’ve had your fill of sun and fun, fuel up the boat and return it to the Nautical Boat Club dock. Don’t sweat the docking experience—the dockhands will help you get the boat where it needs to go. The dockhands will assist with cleanup, too. Grab your belongings and be on your way!
