A Look Inside: Flamingo Cocktail Club

May 22, 2018 | Advertising Disclosure | Our Partners may be mentioned in this article.

Flamingo Cocktail Club, the latest bar concept from Alexis Soler and Angela Laino (best known for their creativity at Old Glory), officially opened in the Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood on Wednesday, May 16, 2018. Well-known mixologist and bar program specialist Freddy Schwenk is also a partner in the swanky bar. Nashville Guru stopped by to get a look inside.

The Interior

Main Floor

Flamingo is located in a former church with exposed vaulted ceilings, aging walls, and rusted windows. At the center: Ample groove space to move to the late-night tunes coming from the massive speakers overhead. Funky, textured couches snake along the back walls where guests can rest and sip cocktails from the bar. Live plants and, of course, flamingos are sprinkled throughout the space for pops of color and character.

VIP Bar

If you have VIP status, make your way up the back exterior staircase to the mezzanine to relax on the deep blue sofa or watch the partiers down below.

The Exterior

You won’t miss the flamingo-colored building behind its connected sister, Falcon Coffee, which is also owned by the same team alongside Andy Knepshield. When Falcon closes, Flamingo opens. The two spots, which are joined by a hallway, share bathrooms and a kitchen, providing a more streamlined operation. Make your way to the back to enter Flamingo.

The Details

If you like drinking seasonal cocktails and dancing into the wee hours, Flamingo Cocktail Club is a must-try.
