Come experience what it is like to get left home alone in a world built entirely of ice! ice!™, Gaylord Opryland’s 24-year Christmas tradition, just got its newest theme, and there are no booby traps inside, just a winter wonderland built scene-by-scene from 2 million pounds of ice. The experience is taking place November 6, 2026, through January 2, 2027.
Bundle up and wander through 10 scenes carved entirely from ice, from the McCallister house to Kevin’s infamous staircase, all inside a room kept cold enough that you’ll get a parka at the door. It’s the kind of Christmas activity that photographs as well as it plays, and if you grew up on the movie, seeing it rendered in ice will get you in the holiday spirit.
While you’re there, don’t skip POMP, SNOW & CIRQUEumstance, the resort’s Broadway-meets-cirque holiday show that has returned again this year to A Country Christmas. Acrobatic performances, live music, and a story about three friends spreading holiday cheer make it a fun addition to the day.
Add in millions of twinkling lights, gingerbread decorating, ice skating, and a festive indoor riverboat cruise, and you’ve got a full day of Christmas without leaving the resort.
