The Truth, Live Nation’s new 4,400-capacity music venue, officially opens Thursday, October 1, 2026, in Wedgewood-Houston, with a sold out show featuring Miranda Lambert. The venue’s name comes from songwriter Harlan Howard’s line that a good country song needs “three chords and the truth,” but the lineup covers every genre, from country and rock to hip-hop, EDM, and comedy.

The three-level room can switch between a standing-room floor and fully-seated shows, with balcony seating upstairs. Beyond the stage, there is a mezzanine whiskey bar, a two-story rooftop lounge, and the Set List Studio with a 1950s letterpress that prints set lists from each night’s show. Guru Tips for The Truth

• Take a rideshare – Parking in the neighborhood can be tricky. The venue calls rideshare the best way to get there. Use 578 Hagan Street for pick-up and drop-off, and follow the signs to the pick-up point after the show. Nashville also has Waymo, if you want a driverless car.
• Book parking early – If you drive, buy your spot before show day. Carpooling helps too.
• Upgrade to the Vinyl Room – If you like an elevated experience, consider upgrading to the Vinyl roOM. This two-story indoor/outdoor lounge has a rooftop bar, skyline views, live vinyl DJs, and an Asian fusion-inspired menu. It is open before, during, and after shows, but only with a ticket upgrade or membership. It also has private restrooms, which is a bonus.
• Get there early for Harlan’s – The mezzanine whiskey bar has stage views and one of the largest Tennessee whiskey collections in the country. You can truly create one of the most unique Old Fashioned cocktails with the amount of options they offer. Or order a White Russian, Harlan Howard’s drink of choice.
• Grab a set list – The Setlist Studio prints about 200 letterpress set lists at each show and sells them as keepsakes. An advance purchase option is in the works.
• Know the floor – Most shows are general admission standing on the floor with seats on the upper levels. Check each event page, since some shows will differ. If you like having a seat, these are some of the most comfortable venue seats out there. You can also access the floor if you want to be in the mix for a bit.
• Pack light – Bags up to 12″ x 6″ x 12″ are allowed, and non-clear bags get an extra search. An empty plastic water bottle is fine. Glass, metal bottles, outside food, and large signs are not.
• Leave the cash at home – The Truth is fully cashless, and tickets are mobile only.
• Stay put – There is no re-entry once you are inside.
• Bring the kids – Shows are all ages unless the event page says otherwise. Kids 2 and under get in free on a lap, but strollers are not allowed.
• Make a night of it – Pastis, Aba, Bastion, Middleman, and some of the city’s best bars and restaurants are steps away. See our Wedgewood-Houston section for dinner and drinks before the show.
