The Rink Under the Giant Guitar, a new outdoor ice-skating rink in Wedgewood Houston, opens Friday, November 20, 2026, and runs through Monday, January 18, 2027, at The Outfield. Skaters take the ice beneath the neighborhood’s landmark Giant Guitar sign, and Perenn, the all-day bakery and cafe, is serving hot chocolate, spiced cider, cookies, and other winter treats at the rink all season. Admission to the rink is FREE and skate rentals are $10. More programming will be announced in the coming weeks, including themed music and movie nights, a singles skate night, and other events for all ages, along with a limited buy-out package for private and holiday gatherings.

Rink Hours:

  • Daily – 4:00pm to 7:00pm
  • Weeks of Monday, December 21, and Monday, December 28, 2026 – noon to 10:00pm
  • Thursday, December 24, 2026 – noon to 4:00pm
  • Closed – Thursday, November 26, 2026, Friday, December 25, 2026, and Friday, January 1, 2027
