The Ainsworth, an upscale sports bar offering classic American cuisine, officially opened in Nashville’s Midtown neighborhood on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, with a grand opening celebration. Nashville marks the eighth location for the New York-based concept. The full-scale restaurant, bar, and lounge is located between Nada and Mellow Mushroom in the Aertson Midtown building on 21st Avenue South. Nashville Guru stopped by to get a look inside.

The Interior

The interior at The Ainsworth features antique mirrors, ornate wallpaper, faux greenery, and wood textures throughout. There’s a central bar, a nine-screen TV wall, booth seating, a private dining room, dozens of HD televisions, and a huge “Nashville” wall suitable for photo opportunities.

The Menu

The American-centric menu features several staple Ainsworth dishes created at their NYC flagship location. Executive chef Joey Ray (formerly of The Hermitage Hotel) spearheads the Nashville kitchen and has been instrumental in adding local flavors to the menu. Options range from gourmet burgers (like their popular mac & cheese burger) to ribeye steaks to ricotta meatballs. On the beverage side, there are 16 beers on draft (including local favorites like Jackalope and Tennessee Brew Works) plus signature handcrafted cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic options.
