Germantown Depot, a new multi-bar in Nashville’s historic Germantown, officially opened on October 20, 2017. The Depot features three different concepts — The Trolley Bar, Germantown Bar, and The Lodge (slated to open later this year). Each concept is separate (including your tabs), but you can mingle between them and enjoy the different atmospheres and offerings. Nashville Guru stopped by to get a look inside.
The Trolley Bar & Patio
A vintage trolley car acts as the centerpiece at The Trolley Bar. Guests can sip on the elevated trolley area or at one of the many tables on the ground level. There are televisions throughout for watching the Preds and Titans, including screens in the outdoor cabanas. The three large garage doors open to the patio, allowing for a free-flow of people and fresh air. Dogs are allowed on the patio from 11:00am to 6:00pm. Dogs must be leashed and are prohibited indoors, in the cabanas, and on furniture. The Trolley Bar is also all ages until 8:00pm.
Germantown Bar is located in a smaller building to the left of The Trolley Bar. This is the spot for draft beer lovers. There are 30 drafts on tap as well as a full bar. The house-turned-bar feels like other casual Nashville favorites, like Red Door Saloon and Rosemary. A secluded patio in the back rounds-out the space. Germantown Bar is always 21 and older only.
The opening menu at The Trolley Bar includes salads, flat breads, sandwiches, and appetizers. Specific options include street-style tacos, lobster flat bread, and a grilled chicken sandwich. The Lodge, the third concept opening soon, will serve additional food options. See the Trolley’s opening menu below.
