Frothy Monkey, a popular coffee shop and eatery, opened its fourth Nashville-area location in The Nations on Monday, August 14, 2017. The breakfast-through-dinner hotspot is known for its locally-roasted coffee, expansive menu, and welcoming atmosphere. Nashville Guru stopped by to get a look inside the new outpost in The Nations.

The Interior

Frothy Monkey in The Nations is housed in what was once Belle Meade Hosiery Mill. The 3,500-square-foot space features the mill’s original character like high ceilings, wood flooring, rustic windows, and exposed beams and brick. The large café has ample seating for 150 people, and a private event space for approximately 40 guests. The custom wood furniture and the private event space’s sliding door was created by 5 String Furniture, and the colorful mural was painted by Ellie Caudill.

The Exterior

Frothy Monkey’s exterior maintains the charm of the old building while bringing new life with modern signage, fresh greenery, and current music. The outdoor signs were created by Cody Bonnette at Take Heart Fabrication, and the exterior painted signs were done by I Saw The Sign.

The Menu

Frothy Monkey offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as brunch until 5pm every day. The menu offers a little bit of everything, from simple options like bagels to more robust items like sandwiches, burgers, cheese plates, and tortellini. They are also accommodating to dietary restrictions.

While Frothy Monkey is known for coffee, there’s a lot more to their beverage program. The Nations location offers craft beer (including many on draft) as well as wine and specialty cocktails. To save a few bucks, make sure to check out Wine Down Wednesday and their 2-for-1 happy hour.
