NOTE: Hemingway’s Bar & Hideaway changed its name to Earnest Bar & Hideaway in April 2019 to avoid trademark complications.

Hemingway’s Bar and Hideaway officially opened on Saturday, May 20, 2017 in the Wedgewood-Houston area. The new Ernest Hemingway-inspired bar and restaurant is located in Houston Station at 438 Houston Street, just steps from Bastion, another popular watering hole. Nashville Guru stopped by to get a look inside.

The Interior

The interior of Hemingway’s features an open floor plan along with a small seating area in the back. Seating consists of tables and chairs, partial booth seating, and 15 stools at the bar. The back seating area includes a couch and four comfy chairs plus three arcade games for entertainment. The atmosphere has a ship-like vibe with exposed brick, wooden pillars, warm light fixtures, and an ocean blue color scheme.
