A Look Inside: The Mainstay

The Mainstay, a casual neighborhood restaurant and bar, opened in East Nashville on Saturday, April 1, 2017. The Mainstay took over the space previously occupied by The Vine in the 5th and Main building at 501 Main Street. The restaurant is geared towards locals looking for an easy-going atmosphere with tasty food and beverages. Nashville Guru stopped by to get a look inside.

The Interior

The Mainstay’s interior is laid-back with a warm, copper bar near the entrance. There are 23 TVs with views from almost every angle. Clever add-ons like USB plugs under the bar for mobile chargers and elbow-height railings show this place was designed by bartenders. Dart boards and arcade games are located on the rear wall, along with a couple comfortable chairs for casual conversation.

The Exterior

The Mainstay has a dog-friendly patio and a nice skyline view from the east side.

The Menu

The sports bar-eclectic menu is spearheaded by chef Falon Smith. Menu items include burgers, wings, sandwiches, and vegan options. There are also some bites for the pups on the patio. The bar menu includes wine (with many on draft), craft beer, and specialty drinks like the Mainstay Bloody Mary.
