Pastime, a cool-casual restaurant in Germantown, opened to the public on Thursday, March 16, 2017. The name pays homage to the nation’s favorite pastime, baseball, which makes sense due to its close proximity to First Tennessee Park. Nashville Guru stopped by to get a look inside the space.
The Interior
The interior is decorated in a modern black and white theme with two bars, several booths, a variety of tables and chairs, and multiple TVs. There’s an indoor-outdoor deck area featuring a sleek fire feature in the center. Garage doors open to the exterior and deck area.
The Exterior
Pastime is located on the corner of 3rd Avenue North and Harrison Street. There’s a rooftop patio on top of the building which has its own bar, string lights, and patio furniture.
The Menu
The menu at Pastime has a mix of options to choose from, including appetizers, soup & salad, wraps, tacos, sandwiches, pizzas, burgers, and entrees. Menu items include Pastime wings, salmon wrap, pork belly taco, spicy Sriracha chicken sandwich, shrimp & grits, Wagyu burger, and buffalo chicken pizza. See the food menu.
Pastime offers a full bar menu including specialty cocktails like the Manhattan On Fire and Orange Basil Mojito, as well as wine, beer and liquor. See the drink menu.

We went as a group for lunch and the service was great. From the original order for drinks, my favorite was the Watermelon Mint Shine and appetizers, Shrimp Ceviche to the last order for more drinks, the wait staff performed flawlessly. Each order came well-prepared and hot, and super tasty. I chose the Pork Chops with Brussel Sprouts and Mashed Potato and it was super delicious. We will definitely return for dinner and listen to Live Music very soon!
I would recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a fun atmosphere and fine dining. The prices are on the high end, but not out of line for a restaurant of this character and quality.
