Firepot Nomadic Teas, a Nashville-based tea company created by Sarah Scarborough, is opening a brick-and-mortar location called Firepot Tea Bar in the 12 South neighborhood. The new tea-focused bar and retail store officially opens to the public on Friday, April 27, 2018. Nashville Guru got a look inside.

The Interior

Jessica Sloane Event Styling & Design helped develop Firepot’s look and feel, which combines rustic and modern elements to create a warm and inviting space. The interior has a comfy window seat, a tea counter, and a retail section, where guests can purchase Firepot’s loose leaf teas, tea pots, tea sachets, books, and other various items. Tea ware from Salt Ceramics and Handmade Studios is also available on-site.

The Menu

Firepot Tea Bar’s menu offers teas on tap, grab-and-go teas, and made-to-order artisanal drinks. Menu items include options like the Vegan Matcha Latte (organic matcha, maple syrup, sprouted nut milk, cardamom), Bowl of Soul (turmeric, fresh ginger, vanilla, cinnamon, nut milk, local honey), and Spring Detox (green iced tea, activated charcoal, lemon juice, ginger juice, cayenne, maple syrup). The teas are organic and ethically-sourced. Light bites are also available, including pastries and housemade chocolate and matcha Bliss Balls.

The Details

“I am excited to bring something I’m passionate about to the Nashville community,” said Scarborough in a press release. “Teaching people about tea is something that gives me a lot of joy and I’m looking forward to sharing my knowledge and experiences with our customers. One of our goals at Firepot is to make high grade tea accessible and approachable, and this tea bar will help us welcome a new audience.”
