NOTE: House, A Social Eatery is out of business.
House, A Social Eatery opened in The Nations neighborhood on Friday, July 1, 2016. House is a homey restaurant and bar concept from co-owners Kyle McPhee and Chris Bicsak. The duo took over the space previously occupied by The Stone Fox on 51st Avenue North. Nashville Guru got a look inside the new neighborhood hangout.
The Interior
House has a welcoming atmosphere with eclectic décor, including a painting of Jimmy Fallon, funky chandeliers, an antique photo wall, and a bookshelf filled with random trinkets. The open floor plan features several different sections with the bar as the central gathering area. Seating options include tables, booths, and bar stools. Handwritten chalkboards containing humorous and uplifting quotes make up a significant portion of the wall art.
The Bar
Behind the bar, two weathered coolers ice-down cans, and draft beers pour from the Volcano taps. Mason jars, liquor bottles, beer cans, and TVs fill the back wall. As the place fills up, house guests gather and talk around the bar area.
The Exterior
There’s an outdoor patio in the back with picnic tables and a booth. A small section of the back is covered. The entire area is fenced, providing privacy from the parking lot. Dogs are welcome, too.
The Menu
For you brunch enthusiasts, House is one of the few places where you can get brunch all day every day in Nashville. The menu features American cuisine with brunch options like omelettes, shrimp & grits, pancakes and biscuits. There are also non-brunch starters, salads, sides, and sandwiches, including the Nations Burger, House Corned Beef Sandwich, and House PBJ. House also has a full bar, including liquor, beer, and wine. See the menus.
Details
Whether you’re looking for a midday brunch spot or a late-night drink, House is a neighborhood hangout worth checking out.
