Salt & Vine, a gourmet marketplace, wine bar, restaurant, and tasting room officially opened in Sylvan Heights on Friday, July 1, 2016. The multi-faceted concept comes from Nashville native and wine expert Mattie Jackson. It’s the first business to open in the Hill Center Sylvan Heights development.

About Salt & Vine

From 10am to 3:30pm, Salt & Vine functions as a market and open-seating space, much like you would expect from a local coffee shop. Guests can enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi, kombucha on tap, pastries, cheese, charcuterie, sandwiches, sides, and a thoughtful coffee program directed by New York City-based Cesar Vega of Cafe Integral.

Starting at 4pm, the space transforms into a dinner-focused restaurant. The drink menu features rotating wines by the glass, six craft beers on draft, and cocktails, including Salt & Vine’s special wine-based punchbowl concoction. The dinner menu, built by Culinary Director Molly Martin, emphasizes food and wine pairings, shared plates, and seasonal items.

The gourmet marketplace is situated at the front. Employees make coffee, slice cheese, and prep food at the central work area. Shelves filled with snacks, ingredients, coffee, and other fine essentials line the walls.
