Sinema is the newest fine dining restaurant and bar creating a huge buzz in Nashville. Situated where the historic 1940’s Melrose theater used to be, the owners kept the cinema atmosphere intact. There are screens and televisions playing classic movies, the decor is warm, and the ambiance is spot-on. With the original grand staircase, restored mirrors lining the walls and lobby ceiling, and heavy theater-like drapes, this is an unmatched Nashville experience.
Tying Music City to the theater experience, you will notice amazing photography of music legends all around the restaurant, which are rare, limited edition photos by Robert Knight. When you walk in, you are welcomed by a downstairs bar and hostess stand. You can be seated for a full menu dining experience downstairs or enjoy cocktails and a limited menu upstairs.
Executive chef Dale Levitski has created an outstanding menu focusing on eclectic American cuisine. Leviski moved from Chicago for this project, and had this to say about Nashville and the Sinema menu:
“Meeting other chefs in Nashville has been great; everyone is so welcoming and helpful. This is a testament to the personality of the city, which is the number one reason I moved here. People keep asking me what is on the menu, and I think the most apropos way to unveil it is simply to wait until opening night. Let the curtain go up, and let the show begin.”
Although the menu isn’t public, we were told the French Onion Frites entree is a must-try.
