Frothy Monkey is one of the best coffee shops in Nashville. Their humble beginnings at the first 12 South location allowed them to build a strong following of coffee drinkers over the years, who happily supported the next two locations off 8th Avenue (Grimey’s Too) and in downtown Franklin. As of May 2014, Frothy has added a new location to the mix — 5th Avenue of the Arts in Downtown Nashville.

The new Downtown location has an urban feel with exposed brick throughout and artwork on every wall. The two-story space has plenty of seating, which can be hard to find at a lot of coffee shops. From tables that seat two, four, eight, and ten to bar stools to a large section upstairs overlooking 5th Avenue, you can find the perfect spot to spend a couple hours.

Besides the amazing coffee, Frothy also has fantastic food. We love that they make it a point to have healthy options, including vegetarian items. Don’t worry, though, you can still get things like an everything bagel, a roast beef sandwich, or steak and eggs. The menu offers breakfast until 5pm, lunch open to close, and dinner starting at 5pm.

Now that there’s a local coffee shop in the heart of the city, Nashville feels a little more whole. Whether you want to work, have a meeting, or just grab a healthy lunch in the Downtown neighborhood, this is a great new option! We highly recommend checking it out for yourself.
