A Look Inside: Alan Jackson’s Silverbelly Whiskey Distillery & Museum

Alan Jackson’s Silverbelly Whiskey Distillery and Museum opened on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 121 3rd Avenue South in Downtown Nashville, a block off Lower Broadway. It’s three things in one building: a working distillery that blends and bottles his Silverbelly Whiskey on site, a museum on the second floor covering Jackson’s four-decade career, and a private speakeasy called The Vault. Jackson has had a spot on Broadway since 2016, when AJ’s Good Time Bar opened, but this is the first one built around his career and his whiskey together. Nashville Guru stopped by to get a look inside.

The Distillery

Silverbelly Whiskey Distillery’s main floor offers multiple bars, a stage, and colorful murals inspired by Jackson’s music. Whiskey flights are the main draw, along with a cocktail list that runs from signature drinks to classics, and there’s live music while the bar is open. Bottles of Silverbelly are for sale alongside merchandise. The whiskey itself is blended, proofed, bottled, and labeled on site, and the Proof Room off the bar is where guests can fill and label a bottle of their own to take home.

The Museum

Venture upstairs to experience the Alan Jackson Museum. The museum is split into three exhibit areas that follow Jackson’s career in order. The Georgia Roots covers his early years in Newnan, Georgia, with family artifacts and personal items from before the move to Nashville. Chasin’ That Neon Rainbow picks up with the honky-tonk years and holds stage outfits, handwritten lyric sheets, and original memorabilia. Remember When closes it out with the awards from a run that put him in both the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

For the best all-around experience, The Backstage VIP tour is the way to go. It runs about 90 minutes and is offered daily at noon, 2:00pm, and 4:00pm. It includes a welcome cocktail, the museum, a whiskey flight, the bottle-your-own experience in the Proof Room, and access to The Vault. Tickets are sold through Etix, and private tours can be arranged through events@silverbellywhiskey.com.

The Speakeasy

The Vault is the private bar tucked inside the building, stocked with rare pours that aren’t on the main bar list. It isn’t a walk-in room. Access comes with the Backstage VIP tour or a private event booking, which keeps it quiet compared to the rest of the building.

Silverbelly Whiskey Distillery & Alan Jackson Museum are located right off Lower Broadway at 121 3rd Avenue South, right next door to the Johnny Cash Museum.
