Lona Nashville, the award-winning Mexican restaurant from Chef Richard Sandoval in collaboration with Pablo Salas, officially opened in Downtown Nashville on the ground level of Noelle on Thursday, January 22, 2025. This marks the third outpost for the concept, which also has locations in Tampa and Fort Lauderdale. Guests can expect a vibrant atmosphere, authentic and creative Mexican cuisine, and a massive tequila and mezcal selection. Nashville Guru stopped by to get the first look inside the new space.
The Interior
Lona’s Mexico City-inspired interior features rich textures, earthy tones, wooden floors, and pops of color throughout, including an impressive mural by artist Ruben Ubiera. There is seating for up to 100 guests in the the 2,900-square-foot space. Grab a seat at the bar, get cozy on the leather banquettes, or chat with your crew at one of the group tables.
The Exterior
Lona took over the space previously occupied by Makeready on the street-level of Noelle Nashville. Guests are encouraged to enter the restaurant at the main entrance on Church Street (see Google street view), but access is also available through the hotel.
The Menu
The menu at Lona delivers creative takes on Mexican classics, like Lump Crab Guacamole (lime, cilantro, tomato, onion, chipotle), Tuna Tostada (macha salsa, red onion, sun dried chili mayo, cilantro, avocado), Baja-Style Fish Tacos, and Shrimp & Crab Enchiladas. Tequila and mezcal fans will appreciate the extensive list of offerings. Be sure to try the Mezcal Old Fashioned, the Lona Margarita, and the Sangria Rojo.
