Sidecar Bar officially opened on Friday, August 9, 2024, in Nashville’s historic Germantown neighborhood. This energetic local bar offers a great game-watching atmosphere for sports fans, delicious drinks, and nightly entertainment from DJs and musicians. The concept was created by Good Time Design, a California-based hospitality and entertainment group, which is also the team behind Sonny’s Patio Pub & Refuge. Guests can expect weekday happy hours, weekend drink specials, and a newly launched brunch menu served until 3:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Nashville Guru stopped by to get a look inside.

The Interior

Sidecar Bar features a variety of seating options including a central wrap-around bar, high-top tables, and booths. The walls are decorated with colorful neon signs that add an electric glow to the space. For entertainment purposes, there is a stage for DJs and musicians (make sure to swing by on Saturday nights to listen to the house band) along with multiple TVs and a couple of games for customers to enjoy.

The Exterior

Sidecar Bar is situated on 6th Avenue North and neighbors Sonny’s Patio Pub & Refuge. There is a paid parking lot located behind the establishment and free street parking options within the area.

The Menu

While Sidecar Bar is most known for its refreshing beverages, its food menu, which features delicious elevated bar bites, is not one to be overlooked. Pictured here are the Loaded Fries (pepper jack cheese sauce, sour cream, chives, bacon) and Jumbo Crispy Chicken Tenders (crispy panko or southern style with one house-specialty dipping sauce). Brunch is also available Saturday and Sunday from 11:00am to 3:00pm. Pictured here are some brunch favorites including Chicken & Waffles (crispy panko or southern fried chicken, Belgian waffle, maple syrup, sunny side egg, green onion, mango BBQ) and Breakfast Fries (scrambled eggs, bacon, white cheddar cheese, green onions). If you’re in the mood for heavy-hitting cocktails, the beverage menu has great options featuring different types of spirits. The cocktails pictured here are the Sidecar (Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Grand Marnier, lemon juice), Hot Mess (Banhez Mezcal Tequila, Ancho Reyes chili liqueur, blood orange juice, lime juice, agave nectar), Joyride (Milagro Silver Tequila, yuzu lime, watermelon juice, tajin), and The Strong Screw (signature brunch cocktail). The menu also features multiple local beer options with the offer to add a quick Sidecar Shot alongside any beer for full-throttle fun! See the full drink menu.
