SusieCakes, a luxury bakery, officially opens its first Tennessee location on Saturday, February 24, 2024, in Green Hills. This female-owned and operated business makes delicious, old-fashioned desserts that are made on-site. SusieCakes is most known for its menu of all-American desserts including old-fashioned layer cakes, classic cookies, and traditional pies. With these tasty confections, founder Susan Sarich pays homage to her grandmothers through their baking traditions along with a commitment to providing women a space in the food and hospitality industry. Nashville Guru stopped by to get a look inside.

The Interior

The 3,000-square-foot space features an extensive glass case filled with tasty sweets, a lounge area, and high-top seating for guests to enjoy their desserts. For a personal added touch, some walls are decorated with memorabilia and photos. In addition to dessert, SusieCakes also sells party decorations such as candles, confetti, balloons, and cake servers, plus adorable merchandise including t-shirts and coffee cups which make for great gifts. The Exterior

Susiecakes is located on the exterior of The Mall at Green Hills. The business is situated near popular eateries including Chopt, Cava, and North Italia. Free parking is available.

Whether your dessert of choice is cake, cookies, or cupcakes, SusieCakes has something to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth. The menu features specialty items for holidays and celebrations including birthdays, baby showers, gender revels, weddings, and graduations. The bakery’s top desserts include the Vanilla Celebration, Old-Fashioned Chocolate, Classic Marble, Classic Carrot, and Susie’s Famous Southern Red Velvet.
