Tiger Bar, a 1930s sideshow-inspired gin joint, officially opened on Thursday, October 5, 2023, in East Nashville. This new spot took over the space previously occupied by Walden Bar. The menu features classic cocktails and drinks of the 1930s era, including martinis, gin, cognac, and sparkling wines. Cocktail attire is suggested but not required—baseball caps and flip-flops are prohibited. Reservations are encouraged and can be made here, while walk-ins are welcome. Tiger Bar is open daily from 5:00pm to 2:00am. Nashville Guru stopped by to get a look inside.

The Interior

The interior at Tiger Bar is dimly lit with a variety of decor inspired by a 1930s sideshow. For seating, guests can enjoy their drinks and bites at the bar, in a booth, or at a table. Towards the back, there are two booths made to look like replicas of Romani Vardo wagons.

The Exterior

This 2,000-square-foot establishment is located on Gallatin Pike. A few neighboring businesses include Elegy Coffee, Mickey’s Tavern, and Nicoletto’s Italian Kitchen.

The Menu

The menu at Tiger Bar has an extensive cocktail list of 70+ different drinks with over 50 of them being pre-1940s. Their signature cocktails are more modernized but still rooted in old classics. Some of their most popular drinks include the Cotton Candy Negroni (Fords London Dry Gin, Dolin Dry Vermouth, Luxardo Bitter Bianco, orange peel, cotton candy), the Beneath The Cards (Aviation Gin, yellow chartreuse, bartlett pear, Assam Tea, lemon & pear dill foam), and the Grasshopper (green creme de menthe, Tempus Fugit Creme de Menthe, Tempus Fugit Creme de Cacao, Paul Masson VS Brandy, heavy cream, Pernod Absinthe). For food, the Crab Crisp (lump crab, Phyllo Dough, clarified butter, spicy mayo), Crudite Plate (fresh vegetables, dill, Gremolata), and Panisse & Caviar (chickpea & cornmeal fritter, caviar, chives, creme fraiche) come highly recommended.
