Otaku Ramen (East Nashville) officially opened in Highland Yards on Saturday, August 12, 2023. This marks the third location for the popular ramen shop with other outposts in the Gulch and West Nashville neighborhoods. The Eastside counter-service spot is the largest restaurant for Otaku Ramen at nearly 3,000 square feet, making it their flagship location. Expect both lunch and dinner service with operating hours Thursday through Monday from 11:00am to 9:00pm. Nashville Guru stopped by to get a look inside.
The interior at Otaku Ramen in East Nashville is spacious and features a variety of seating arrangements with two-seater, four-seater, and six-seater tables. The fun and playful decor mirrors the Gulch and West Nashville locations.
Otaku Ramen East is situated in the new Highland Yards development, which also includes retailers and restaurants such as Kisser, SHED, Garage Sale Vintage, Flora + Fauna, and more. When weather permits, guests can enjoy food and drinks on the outside covered patio. There’s also an exterior walk-up window for pickup and delivery orders.
Ramen lovers can expect all their favorite Otaku classics, including the Tonkotsu Shio (formerly called TN Tonkotsu, made with pork bone broth, shio “salt” base, pork confit, woodear, scallion, mayu), the Spicy Miso (miso seasoned pork bone broth, chili paste, chili oil, ground pork, scallion, roasted corn, cabbage, bean sprout mix, pickled ginger), and Tantanmen (miso seasoned vegetarian broth, scallion, smoked tofu, cauliflower, chili crisp, chili oil). While the food menu at all Otaku Ramen locations is the same, East Nashville’s drink menu features new beer, sake, batch cocktails, and frozen drinks. For non-alcoholic drinks, we recommend pairing your ramen with a refreshing Boba.
