Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery, situated in Marathon Village, opened a whiskey-forward bar and restaurant on Thursday, July 20, 2023. The 50,000-square-foot establishment is currently undergoing a large-scale transformation. Once completed, the distillery will include consumer and hospitality spaces, spirit production, and offices. Guests can expect an elevated twist on classic Southern dishes, exceptional spirits, and creative cocktails. The restaurant is open Thursday through Monday and the bar is open daily. Nashville Guru stopped by to get a look inside.
The Interior
The spacious interior features an open-kitchen concept, comfortable booths, and table seating for small and large groups. This eatery can seat up to 100 guests, but also provides event spaces for groups of 30 to 200, including the Whiskey Garden, Coopers Club, Oak Room, and Rickhouse Room.
The Exterior
Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery is located on Clinton Street in Marathon Village, which is a quick stop from Downtown Nashville. There is free street parking and paid parking lots available nearby and in front of the building.

Foodies and whiskey enthusiasts will love the gourmet distillery-inspired cuisine. We suggest ordering The No. 5 Burger (double patty Niman Ranch smash burger, white cheddar, Brier sauce, pickles, potato bun, served with fresh cut rosemary fries) and the Wedge Salad (mini iceberg lettuce, Gifford’s bacon, smoked bleu cheese crumbles, radishes, hot 100 tomatoes, served with creamy herb dressing)—both pictured here!
