Just FYI, the Sheriff’s Office will be running their Sober Ride St. Patrick’s Day program at Midtown and the Gulch this year – https://www.nashville.gov/News-Media/News-Article/ID/3818/NEWS-RELEASE-Sheriffs-Office-Sponsors-Sober-Ride-St-Patricks-Day.aspx
This one slipped under your radar. On March 17th at The Nashville Palace, Spider Stacy from the Pogues will be playing with The Lost Bayou Ramblers and Dylan Walshe. The most Irish thing going on on St. Patrick’s day.
It’s St. Paddy, NOT St. Patty. Paddy is derived from the Irish, Pádraig. Patty is the diminutive of Patricia, or a burger, and not something you call a dude. No one in Ireland that would refer to a Patrick as “Patty.
Hey Lori, thanks for the comment! We are aware St. Paddy is correct versus St. Patty, but the majority of people search for “St. Patty’s Day” versus “St. Paddy’s Day”, so we still maintain a reference to it so people can find what they are looking for. We appreciate you reaching out and for the insight for future readers!
