A Look Inside: The Butter Milk Ranch

The Butter Milk Ranch officially opened on Friday, October 22, 2021, in Nashville’s 12 South Neighborhood. The small batch bakery and eatery took over the space previously occupied by Katy K’s Designs. The Butter Milk Ranch is owned and operated by the same hospitality group behind the neighborhood’s popular dinner destination, Urban Grub. Guests can expect freshly-baked pastries and delicious day-dining options. Nashville Guru stopped by to get a look inside.

The Interior

The interior features an open-kitchen concept, a variety of seating options, ranch-style decor, and greenery by Lawrence & Clarke Cacti Co. Most pastries are available at the counter for a quick to-go option, but make sure to get there early— everything is baked fresh and sells out quickly.

The Exterior

When weather permits, tables and chairs are set up on the patio for an outdoor dining option. There are a variety of side streets in the surrounding area with free parking for customers.

The Menu

The menu is comprised of savory and sweet dishes created by Chef Daniel Scott Gorman and pasty chef Alyssa Gangeri. Popular dishes include the TN Ham & Cheese Croissant Sandwich (house ham, smoked cheddar, horseradish dijonnaise, chives), The Countryside Croissant Breakfast Cube (steamed farm egg, chives, Gruyere cheese, Boursin cheese), and the Twisted Cinnamon Bun (toasted in cinnamon sugar, topped with cream cheese frosting). Pair any meal with a fresh coffee or creamy milkshake. The Butter Milk Ranch also sells homemade granola and dog treats! See the full menu.
