Ella’s on 2nd is a brand new American bistro in the SoBro area of Downtown Nashville. The restaurant is named after co-owner Michael Hayes’s grandmother and focuses on Southern cuisine and hospitality. Ella’s on 2nd officially opened in August 2021. Nashville Guru stopped by to get a look inside.
The Interior
The open floor plan is bright and airy with teal accents, rattan light fixtures, and high ceilings. The open kitchen allows patrons to watch the chefs at work. There is bar seating surrounding the kitchen plus four-top tables, an eight-top table for larger parties, and a separate bar area.
The Exterior
Ella’s on 2nd is located on the bottom level of the The Hyatt Centric. The restaurant has a street-level patio that seats approximately 28 guests.
The Menu
Ella’s on 2nd is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu focuses on elevated Southern cuisine but also offers a variety of vegetarian options. On the menus you’ll find a good mix of Southern classics, sandwiches, salads, and shareable items. The drink menu has cocktails, a nice selection of wine, and beer.
