The Continental officially opened in the Downtown Nashville neighborhood on Friday, May 28, 2021. This upscale American eatery, situated in the Grand Hyatt Nashville hotel, is a concept created by founding chef of Husk and Joyland, Sean Brock. Guests can expect contemporary cuisine, table-side cart service, and a lively dining experience. Nashville Guru stopped by to get a look inside.

The Interior

The modern and colorful interior was designed by Nick Dryden of DAAD. The dining room features two bars, plush banquettes, and large booths for comfortable seating. Chef Sean Brock displays his love for art by showcasing works for sale and his own photography pieces throughout the restaurant. The Continental partnered with local artists and creators to bring the space to life, including Southern Lights Electric for lighting, New Hats for wallpaper, Mobile Fixture for kitchen design, and Kings Upholstery for drapes.

The Exterior

The Continental is located at the corner of 10th and Broadway. Guests can choose to either valet or self park in the gravel lot beside the Grand Hyatt Nashville hotel. Outdoor patio seating will be available soon.

The Menu

Chef Sean Brock’s cooking focuses on vibrancy and presentation. The menu is influenced by historic American hotel fine dining. Custom table-side carts, made by local artisan Aberdeen Studio, will serve guests popular dishes such as The Continental Prime Rib and vanilla bean custard cream. Additional menu items include the Gruetli Cheese Fondue, Maine Diver Scallops, and Pacific Red Crab Parfait. Complement any meal with a signature cocktail or beverage. See the full menu.
