A Look Inside: Locust

Locust, a casual restaurant and bar, officially opened on Thursday, October 29, 2020, in Nashville’s 12 South neighborhood next to Franklin Juice Co. Locust is Strategic Hospitality’s eleventh concept in Nashville. The easygoing hangout features Japanese-inspired cuisine like shaved ice, hand-cut noodles, and dumplings. Nashville Guru stopped by to get the look inside.


The Exterior

Locust’s heated outdoor patio seats 30 guests. The casual space is open for walk-ins and reservations via Tock. Multiple Nashville makers helped create the space including Heavy Fencing Company, Lankford Decorating and Construction, Arbol Woodworking, Grills by Demant, DAAD, and Resting State Design. The interior dining room seats 44 guests.


The Menu

Former Catbird Seat chef Trevor Moran and Strategic Hospitality curated a delicious Japanese-inspired menu. The menu feature small plates like steamed dumplings, crispy dumplings, hand-cut noodles, shaved ice, and more. The build-your-own Numby Noodles From Hell are a crowd favorite! Pair any meal with a Japanese beer or sake.
