O-Ku Sushi Nashville, a concept by The Indigo Road, officially opened in Germantown on Friday, June 21, 2019. Nashville is the sixth O-Ku outpost, which has other locations in Raleigh, Atlanta, Charlotte, D.C., and Charleston. O-Ku serves authentic Asian cuisine focusing on rare ingredients and elegant presentations. Nashville Guru stopped by to get a look inside.

The Interior

O-Ku’s Japanese-inspired interior mirrors classic O-Ku design, including oversized light fixtures, intricate wooden wall treatments, and manzanita branches. Seating options include lavender banquettes, two- and four-top tables, and two full-service bars.

The Exterior

O-Ku is located on the corner of Van Buren and Adams Street. Metered and street parking are available. Outdoor seating is coming soon.

The Menu

O-Ku’s menu resembles traditional Japanese fare. Chef Eric Hill sources the freshest fish from some of the world’s best markets like Norway and New Zealand. Menu items include refined blends of sushi, sashimi, and nigiri, alongside other popular Asian dishes. O-Ku’s menu also includes an Omakase experience, which is a creative multi-course tasting.

The beverage program focuses on premium cocktails, sake, draft and bottled beer, plus non-alcoholic options like the Matcha Mule. See the full menu.
