Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse, a popular steak, seafood, and sushi restaurant, officially opened in Downtown Nashville on Saturday, July 9, 2016. The high-end restaurant features nightly live entertainment and top-of-the-line service. Nashville marks the third Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse behind Cincinnati and Louisville. Jeff Ruby is also the founder of two other Cincinnati-based steakhouses, Precinct and Carlo & Johnny. Nashville Guru got a look inside the sweeping, eye-catching space in Music City.

The Interior

The interior of Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse in Nashville is vibrant with deep color tones, soaring ceilings, numerous chandeliers, antiques, and vintage decor. Lavish leather seating fills the spacious bar area, a main dining room, and three private dining rooms. The entire space is over 10,000-square-feet and can accommodate up to 340 guests, including the outdoor areas. There’s an elevated stage behind the bar where nightly performers keep the atmosphere lively. Get your shoes shined and make sure to visit the restrooms — they may have some of the best character in the city.

To get an idea of the Ruby family’s love for detail and making the space one-of-a-kind, here are some interesting tidbits:

  • Local florist Oshi provides the restaurant with fresh flowers and comes by weekly to refresh them.
  • The fireplace in the Music City Room came from Al Capone’s winter home in Florida.
  • The Speakeasy Room has a 150-year-old liquor cabinet containing 200 different bottles of liquor, 100 of which are different bourbons and whiskeys. The door to the room is from a true speakeasy and the table is made out of a Roman numeral clock from an old London cathedral.
