East Side Banh Mi, created by husband and wife duo chef Grace Nguyen and chef Chad Newton, officially opens Thursday, August 13, 2020, in East Nashville. The fast-causal restaurant specializes in Vietnamese-style bánh mì sandwiches, salads, and bowls that are created with locally-sourced ingredients and made using authentic family recipes. Nashville Guru stopped by to get the look inside.
The new 1,200-square-foot restaurant features a modern, bright, and colorful interior. In support of sustainability, all plate wear was created by local artisan RV Pottery.
Free parking is available in front of the restaurant and on select side streets within the surrounding area.
At East Side Banh Mi guests can expect authentic cuisine and locally-sourced ingredients. Some of their local partners include Bear Creek Farm, Giffords Smoked Meats, Bloomsbury Farm, and Nguyen Coffee Supply.
