A Look Inside: Acme Feed & Seed

Acme Feed & Seed - Nashville - Broadway-57

Acme Feed & Seed is the newest concept from restauranteur Tom Morales. This is a four-story multi-purpose concept that’s adding something a little different to lower Broadway. Morales is well-known for the Southern, his upscale restaurant in SoBro, as well as TomKats, his successful catering business. He is also instrumental in the rejuvenation of Nashville Dancin’.

The concept behind Acme Feed & Seed is to add a more upscale honky-tonk to the strip on Broadway. This is more of a local’s joint where you can find great food, cold beer and nice bathrooms. The first floor opened in July, but now you can enjoy the second floor and rooftop on any given night. The third floor is also open for special events and concerts.

  • 1st Floor: Upscale honky-tonk bar and restaurant
  • 2nd Floor: Cocktail lounge, games, TVs, and Sam’s Sushi Bar (yes, that Sam, aka “The Sushi Nazi”)
  • 3rd Floor: Event space and concert hall
  • 4th Floor / Rooftop Patio: Huge bar and deck

1st Floor:

The first level is the bar and restaurant area where you can find awesome local draft beer and a simple, yet delicious food menu. There is live music, but it’s not normally your typical country act. Acme hosts Funky Tonk every Thursday at 9pm. Also, check out the local products when you walk in — you can find some great gifts and products unique to Nashville.

Visit the Acme website to see the menu.

2nd Floor:

The second floor has a classy, but rustic vibe with old photographs, vintage signs, and a mix of antique and modern furniture. It’s definitely not stuffy, though. You feel right-at-home with the comfy seating and array of games, including shuffle board, arcade video games, and foosball. With all of the TVs and private booths, the 2nd floor is also a perfect spot to camp out and watch football this fall!

“No sushi for you!” is a phrase you want to avoid on the second floor. Sam (a.k.a “The Sushi Nazi,” a play on the infamous “Soup Nazi” from Seinfeld) is making some amazing sushi, which you need to try. Sam previously had a restaurant in Printer’s Alley, which gained a lot of popularity over its 15-year span. Due to the new development taking place in the Alley, though, Sam had to move out. He now has a new home at Acme, where everyone can still enjoy his authentic sushi (and his edgy attitude).

3rd Floor:

The third floor is a private event space and concert venue called the Hatchery. You can rent it out for a private event or see an upcoming concert. It’s basically an open room ready to be transformed for any special occasion. Below you can see some of our photos from the Hard Working Americans concert at the Hatchery.

Rooftop:

Arguably one of the best views on Broadway, the rooftop is a popular spot at Acme. There is a covered area with a huge bar plus an open section where you can enjoy the view of either the Cumberland River or Broadway. Many nights you’ll find a DJ and plenty of dancing patrons on the rooftop.

Also, Acme has partnered with Sanctuary for Yoga to present power lunch yoga from Noon to 1pm, Mondays through Fridays on Acme’s rooftop. The free yoga launch party is Sunday, September 7th at 3pm. Regular yoga classes start Monday, September 8th.
