Liberty Common, the latest restaurant concept from Terry Raley and Amaranth Hospitality (Butchertown Hall, The Pharmacy), soft opened in the SoBro area on Friday, December 28, 2018. The vibrant all-day cafe, located directly across from Ascend Amphitheater, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Nashville Guru got a look inside.

The Interior

Liberty Common’s interior has a European feel with scaling ceilings, bold blue booths, an expansive bar, and black-and-white tile flooring. The decor is thoughtfully executed, from hand-painted murals to the dozens of repurposed light fixtures throughout the space. There’s a main dining room, side dining section, bar area, and a private dining room.

The Exterior

The exterior has bar seating plus many two- and three-top tables. With its close proximity to Ascend and Lower Broadway, this will be a popular place to be when the weather is nice.

The Menu

Partner and executive chef Jeffrey Chambless Rhodes created the menu, which blends classic French cuisine and Southern fare. Menu items include options like the Croque Madame (country ham, gruyere, sunny side eggs, salad), Steak Frites (grilled coulotte, maitre’d butter, frites), and the Liberty Burger Double (confit onion, dijonaise, gruyere, briôche, pommes frites), just to name a few. Pastry chef Jessica Collins provides fresh biscuits, pastries, and desserts. On the beverage side, guests can expect espresso, teas, coffees, cocktails, specialty beers, and fine wines. See the menus.

The Details

Whether you’re looking for an early morning caffeine boost or a late-night cocktail and dinner, Liberty Common is a must-visit.
