Hopdoddy Burger Bar, a from-scratch burger and beer joint, officially opened on Monday, October 23, 2017, in Hillsboro Village. This is the first Tennessee location for the growing, fast-casual burger chain out of Austin, which has almost two dozen locations in Texas, Arizona, Colorado and California. Hopdoddy Burger Bar has claimed the #1 spot two years in a row on Business Insider’s list of “The 50 best burger joints in America.” Nashville Guru stopped by to get a look inside.

The Interior

Hopdoddy Burger Bar is located at 1805 21st Avenue South, the former location of Bosco’s. The interior features a central bar, original exposed brick, bright green chairs, booth seating, and concert wall art.

The Exterior

Hopdoddy’s covered patio overlooks Hillsboro Village’s main drag, 21st Avenue South. There are picnic tables, string lights, and garage doors that open to the interior.

The Menu

The menu features hand-crafted burgers, hand-cut Kennebec fries, handspun milkshakes, and fresh salads. Vegetarians have no fear — they have two burgers for you on the menu, including The Impossible, which is a plant-based veggie burger for “people who love the taste of meat.”

The bar menu includes local brews on tap, including Honky Tonk Brewing Co., Little Harpeth, and Mantra Artisan Ales, as well as a range of signature cocktails like the Musicitea.
