Pat Martin, founder of Martin’s BBQ, has opened his newest venture, Hugh Baby’s. Hugh Baby’s, named after Martin’s uncle “Hugh Baby” Coleman, officially opened on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at 4816 Charlotte Avenue in West Nashville. Nashville Guru stopped by to get a look inside the new Southern barbecue and burger fast food joint.

The Interior

The interior of Hugh Baby’s has a classic, small town feel with a red, turquoise, and white color scheme. There’s capacity for 67 guests, including eight diner-like stools at the counter. The smiling pig mascot greets guests with a wave as they walk through the doors.

The Exterior

The covered exterior patio is the highlight of the space, which features green turf, a variety of seating, and a small play area for kids. Make sure to sit down beside the Hugh Baby pig for a photo.

The Menu

The menu is affordable and simple, but maintains Martin’s quality and attention to detail. Guests can expect a comprehensible selection of burgers, barbecue sandwiches, hot dogs, fries, and scratch-made milkshakes. If it’s Friday, try the Slugburger. See the menu.
