Woodlands Indian Vegetarian Cuisine

Woodlands is easily one of the best vegetarian as well as Indian restaurants in Nashville. This veg-friendly joint is tucked away in the bottom of a condo building off West End. We’ve been there countless times and the service has always been impeccable and fast. Also, they have a bring-your-own-wine policy!

Sunflower Cafe is the newest vegetarian restaurant in Nashville, which opened in 2012. Located in Berry Hill, this place focuses on vegetarian cuisine from locally-grown produce. Sunflower Cafe’s menu focuses on wraps, bowls and veggie burgers.

Grin’s Vegetarian Cafe

Located on the Vanderbilt campus, Grin’s Vegetarian Cafe, which is also kosher, was opened over a decade ago by Bob Bernstein. Bernstein’s other restaurants include Fido, Bongo Java, and Hot and Cold. Grin’s is open from 7:30am to 9pm during the week, so you can get your veggie breakfast, lunch or dinner fix. Be sure to check their hours before you head there — they close for some holidays and student breaks.

What to Order: Superfood Wrap

Avo

Avo is Nashville’s only full plant-based (vegan) restaurant. Besides a few beers, all of their food is also naturally gluten-free. If you’re looking for healthy vegan and vegetarian cuisine, you can’t go wrong at Avo.
